Core responsibilities As Sustainability Risk and Traceability Manager, you’ll drive our sustainable sourcing agenda by employing advanced data analytics to manage environmental and human rights risks throughout our supply chains. You will also build the traceability infrastructure that enhances our upstream visibility. This role requires a strategic approach to risk and traceability for both direct and indirect procurement categories, focusing on developing complex data analytics and digital tools. You will collaborate with teams across Global Procurement, Corporate Sustainability, Legal, Government Affairs, Digital Technology, Quality, and others. Main responsibilities include: Supply chain sustainability risk Develop and implement a comprehensive risk framework addressing human rights and environmental risks, integrating it into procurement processes and systems. Create and maintain a sophisticated database to identify, evaluate, and mitigate sustainability risks by commodity, location, and supplier, converting results into actionable insights and strategic plans. Enhance tracking of critical metrics to improve supply chain sustainability risk and resilience management, coordinating regular reviews and progress reports for key partners. Assist with regulatory impact assessments and incorporate compliance requirements into the supply chain risk framework and processes. Identify and implement new processes, tools, and digital solutions to advance sustainability risk management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition sustainability risk management from reactive to proactive. Traceability Support the develop and execution of a multi-year roadmap to achieve supply chain transparency across key commodities and procurement categories. Establish clear processes for chain of custody data collection, verification, and maintenance, collaborating closely with internal teams. Evaluate, implement, and manage advanced traceability tools and platforms, partnering with Procurement Transformation and Digital Technology for integration and operationalization. Monitor global and industry traceability methodologies and standards, ensuring alignment with industry-leading frameworks. Collect, consolidate, and analyse external supply chain risk and traceability data, translating it into actionable insights to influence sourcing decisions and support compliance standards. Play your part in our team succeeding You will join the freshly formed Sustainable Sourcing team, a global section within Global Procurement Operations at the LEGO Group. We hold a vital position in advancing the LEGO Group’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda by elevating the sustainability performance of the company’s supplier base. We are a dynamic and dedicated group structured around the three pillars of ESG: Environmental, Social, and Governance. We work closely with various departments within the LEGO Group to connect business strategy with global product categories and regional procurement teams, delivering effective sourcing outcomes. Do you have what it takes? Demonstrated expertise in sustainability risk, responsible sourcing, and supply chain sustainability within a complex, global business. Strong background in developing and implementing supply chain traceability solutions and protocols. Exceptional analytical skills to transform complex data into coherent risk narratives and practical recommendations. Proven expertise in environmental and/or human rights due diligence, with knowledge of global frameworks. Experience in designing processes to implement digital tools or platforms effectively. Collaborative, cross-functional working style; able to influence colleagues and bring others on the journey. Excellent communication skills to translate technical sustainability topics for diverse audiences. Comfort navigating ambiguity and setting structure where needed.
