About The Role:
Working Days: The role is predominantly Monday to Friday with some weekend working required. The shift are to be determind to deliver the service
This role is responsible for leading the delivery of both soft and hard FM services within a healthcare PFI environment, ensuring compliance with national standards and contractual obligations. The Services Manager will oversee daily operations, manage teams, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient hospital environment. A key focus is on driving performance, ensuring patient safety, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, promoting collaboration, communication, and high performance.
* Ensure cleaning services meet the National Cleaning Standards 2021 and hospital-specific requirements.
* Coordinate soft and hard services teams, ensuring adequate training and prioritising patient safety.
* Monitor compliance with service parameters, health and safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards across all hospital areas.
* Analyse operational data to identify performance issues and implement corrective actions.
* Manage staffing levels, recruitment, and training to optimise service delivery and staff development.
* Maintain effective relationships with Trust representatives, Project Co, IPC, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
* Must have Right to Work in the UK.
* An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
* BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) – desirable
* SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence – desirable
Experience & Skills:
* Proven managerial experience overseeing teams of 25+ staff
* Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
* Solid understanding of budgeting and financial accountability
* Demonstrated success in improving team performance and service delivery
* Experience in hospital cleaning operations with knowledge of infection control
* Familiarity with the National Cleaning Standards 2021
* Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities
* Skilled in writing detailed reports for varied stakeholders on complex operational matters
