Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development through challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain engineering and technical relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do as a Cloud Engineer:
* Train internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts as necessary.
* Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
* Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Follow internal and external processes for task allocation, completion, reporting, and change management.
* Support Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Create and review technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
* Assist in pre-staging equipment for customer projects or installations.
* Participate in customer meetings including support reviews, project roadmaps, and incident reviews.
* Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets and expenses.
* Link certifications and training to business objectives.
* Adhere to GDPR and security policies regarding data and information handling.
Who you are:
The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. Experience in a medium to large support environment and On-premise Cloud Services is desirable. Skills include:
* Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or VCP (desirable)
* Networking concepts
* SQL Server clustering and availability groups
* Azure MFA and Identity Services
* Microsoft System Configuration Manager
* Microsoft Exchange Server 2016+
* VMware vCloud Director
* Leadership and collaboration skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
