We are currently representing a five star leading house builder who have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join their brand new region and team in Basingstoke.
You will be joining the senior leadership team and will be a key part of developing the Southern Region covering the Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset And West Sussex areas.
The salary is up to £90,000 (depending on experience) plus a car allowance and fantastic benefits package. You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Director.
Key Responsibilities for this position include:
* Responsible for the leadership of the buying and surveying team on a day to day basis
* Monitor budgets and cost control for all aspects of the business on new build developments
* Effectively mentor, manage and recruit a team of Buyers and Quantity Surveyors
* Communicate and provide updatyes with other departments such as the Technical, Construction, Land, Sales & Architects
* Provide guidance to the team to produce accurate estimates, budgets, forecasts and cost control measures
* Produce accurate reports and presentations
* Monitor site performance against budgets and financial targets set
Key Skills & Qualifications for this position include:
* Experience as a Commercial Manager for a house builder
* Knowledge of the Southern areas mainly Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire & West Sussex
* HNC in Building Studies
* RICS Qualifications and/or a degree in Quantity Surveying
* Excellent Communication & negotiation skills
* Exceptional attention to detail and be pro-active
* Competent using Microsoft Office & land appraisal software
* Full UK Driving License
* Right to Work in the UK
