Job Title: Skilled Metal Finisher (Polisher/Fettler)

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Overview:
An established and respected engineering manufacturer is seeking a Skilled Metal Finisher (Polisher/Fettler) to join their team. This is a hands-on role within a small, dedicated polishing department, where you will work primarily with stainless steel components for food processing machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform high-quality polishing and fettling on stainless steel surfaces, including satin, mirror, shot blast, and scotch-bright finishes.
* Work in a small team within a polishing shop, as well as on large machinery outside the shop due to equipment size.
* Occasionally assist with on-site installations at customer locations.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, despite the naturally dirty nature of the role.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in metal finishing, polishing, and fettling, particularly with stainless steel.
* Familiarity with various finishing techniques and tools.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Comfortable working in a physically demanding and sometimes messy environment.
* Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site installations.
