Overview
Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) 2026 at Warwickshire Police. Start March 2026. Earn while you learn with a starting salary of £31,164. You’ll gain a nationally recognised degree in Professional Policing Practice while serving the community.
What You’ll Do
As a Student Police Officer on the PCDA programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop vital policing skills, and work towards a national degree while contributing to the community.
What You’ll Need To Apply
* A full UK driving licence
* Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (e.g., GCSE A*-C / 9-4, or Functional Skills)
* A Level 3 qualification with at least 64 UCAS points – if applying with predicted points, at least 84 UCAS points
* Check UCAS Tariff Calculator for your points
Please upload copies of your qualifications with your application. If you do not yet have them, upload your predicted grades.
Next Steps: What to Expect
* National Sift – an online assessment consisting of two parts: Situational Judgment Test (SJT) and Behavioural Style Questionnaire (BSQ)
You’ll have 2 days to complete both assessments. The process is user-friendly and supports accessibility tools (e.g., text-to-speech).
Reasonable adjustments: the national sift is not timed and is compatible with accessibility tools.
If unsuccessful, you will be provided with feedback and may re-apply after three months; you can complete the national sift twice within a rolling 12-month period.
If successful at the national sift, you would then be required to complete an assessment centre, which you would be booked onto and have a week to complete.
Assessment Centre and CVF
The assessment centre measures the behaviours and values required for the role of police constable as set out in the Competency and Values Framework (CVF). More information is available through the College of Policing.
