Job Title:Plant Hire Manager
Reporting to:Depot Manager
Working Hours:Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch
Location:Daventry, Northamptonshire, East Midlands – NN11 4HB
Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Plant Hire Manager to join our friendly team based at our Daventry Depot, East Midlands, where you will be responsible for the day to day smooth running of a busy plant hire service.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will manage and oversee hire orders with suppliers ensuring a high standard of service to both clients and customers. You will be required to deal with the initial enquiry stage through to quotation, follow up, processing of the hire orders and transport to their site.
The Plant Hire Manager will be responsible for and manage a small team of delivery drivers, mobile and workshop plant fitters and yard staff on a daily basis.
You will report to the Depot Manager and be trained by the Depot Manager as part of the company’s forward thinking strategy to identify and prepare high potential employees for future leadership roles.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Background in plant / transport (desirable)
* Previous managerial experience role
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Methodical and organised
* Experienced in purchasing
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Friendly disposition with a team orientated approach
* Experienced in managing a small team of up to 10 staff
* Full driving licence
* IT literate (Google Drive)
* Experience in customer service
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
