Advanced Nurse Practitioner Role (6-Month Fixed Term)
This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support patients with urgent, on-the-day care needs in the local community. This fixed-term role for 6 months (secondment considered) to cover maternity leave will support GPs and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care in a primary care setting.
Successful applicants may work in GP practices, visit residents in care homes, or attend to patients in their own homes. The role emphasizes the Four Pillars of Advanced Practice, fostering development in education, mentoring, audit, leadership, and quality improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
* Must be working in an advanced practice role.
* Must have undertaken MSc (Level 11) Advanced Practice studies to PG Dip level or have equivalent experience.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a wider health and social care team.
* Ability to work autonomously, using clinical judgement and decision-making to support the nursing workforce.
Additional Information
If applying for a secondment, ensure you have your current line manager's support. The salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
A requirement of this role is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
