The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our growing team in Chepstow.
This is a key leadership role responsible for the successful planning, management, and delivery of environmental and engineering projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Producing and managing site documentation on schemes from 10k to 1m.
You will work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate all aspects of project delivery, maintaining compliance with contractual, environmental, and health & safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle. The idea of the role is that you will be responsible for the multiple construction sites across our region operationally and deal with the site teams / works manager directly.

The successful candidate will have experience managing project delivery across civil engineering, infrastructure, or related sectors, including responsibility for programme management, resource planning, quality assurance, and client liaison. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple environmental and engineering projects simultaneously through to completion
* Maintain project programmes, schedules and resource plans
* Coordinate operational teams, subcontractors, plant, materials, and suppliers
* Lead project delivery to ensure works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to specification
* Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, quality, and contractual requirements
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures
* Support procurement, logistics, and commercial management functions
* Produce and review project documentation including RAMS, programmes, progress reports, QA records, and handover documentation on multiple small projects
* Manage project quality assurance and quality control processes on multiple small projects
* Oversee project handover, close‑out documentation, and client sign‑off on multiple small projects
* Site‑based across assigned projects, initially South Wales and Bristol
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Project Manager role within environmental, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors
* Technical and quality experience is essential
* Strong project planning, organisational, and leadership skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Strong commercial awareness and problem–solving skills
* Experience managing operational teams and subcontractors
* Good understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements
* Experience managing quality assurance and quality control processes
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
* Experience producing and reviewing project documentation and handover records
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of project delivery and client satisfaction
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Experience within environmental works, infrastructure, drainage, groundworks, or utilities
* SMSTS qualification
* Temporary Works qualification
* CSCS card
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and permitting
* Experience compiling RAMS, inspection records, QA documentation, and O&M manuals
* Commercial or site engineering experience
* NEC contract experience
