One pupil, big difference
Some students just need that extra bit of support to find their feet, and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for caring, calm and encouraging people to work as 1:1 Teaching Assistants in secondary schools across Bristol this September. If you're looking for experience with young people with SEND, this is the opportunity for you.
This role is all about helping a young person with additional needs stay engaged, feel understood and succeed in the classroom (and beyond). If you’ve got a patient nature and love the idea of making a real impact, this could be your perfect school day.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting a student with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) one-to-one in lessons
* Helping them understand tasks, stay focused and feel confident
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and sometimes parents to share progress
* Creating a safe, structured space where the student can thrive
We’d love to hear from you if:
* You’ve got experience working with young people, especially those with additional needs, maybe in schools, youth work or care
* You’re calm under pressure and good at building trust
* You’re a great communicator, with students and staff alike
* You’re reliable and ready to get stuck in
Why join Protocol?
* Weekly pay (PAYE, no deductions)
* Free online CPD to boost your skills, including Thrive training
* A friendly local consultant who’ll find schools that suit you
* A chance to genuinely change lives, one student at a time
