Overview
Location: Borough Green, Kent. Join H+H, a leader in the construction industry! We are looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer to help ensure operational efficiency and provide immediate assistance for equipment breakdowns. This role works on a shift pattern alongside the production teams, covering Monday to Sunday.
Responsibilities
* Conducting both reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
* Monitoring plant performance
* Maintaining cleanliness in the workshop and factory areas
* Contributing to improvement initiatives, and participating in project discussions
Requirements
* Time served or suitably recognised qualification in production or Electrical Engineering (e.g. ONC, EAL level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering)
* Demonstrable practical experience in both reactive and preventative electrical maintenance
* Understanding of basic programming to allow fault PLC finding
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Team player with excellent communication
* Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and experience in relevant software (e.g. design and calculation software)
* Safety conscious with proficient knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate risks to safe levels
