What the Job Involves As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean, and sustainable environment within Monmouthshire. Your responsibilities will include the upkeep of public open spaces, verges, schools, and contracted sites, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and sustainable. You will perform grounds maintenance activities, such as grass cutting, horticultural upkeep, sports facility maintenance, and arboriculture work. You will also be involved in litter management, including emptying bins and responding to fly-tipping cases. Additionally, you may assist in street services, especially during emergencies, and will be required to comply with health and safety standards.
