<div><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>We are looking for a <b>Support Practitioner</b> to support a young man with autism in his own home.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Support him with daily living tasks, household chores, medication management, personal care and finances.</li><li>Assist him with meals, shopping, transport and other daily activities.</li><li>Encourage participation in his leisure activities and help him to explore new opportunities.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, report incidents and communicate with the care team.</li><li>Provide companionship, encouragement and help him work towards personal goals.</li></ul><h3>Shift Patterns</h3><p>24/7 tailored support. Shifts vary by day, with changes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday due to day‑service commitments. Sleepovers are part of the rota and attract additional pay.</p><h3>Qualifications & Expectations</h3><ul><li>Full UK manual driving licence and at least one year of driving experience.</li><li>Commitment to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.</li><li>Required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.</li><li>Must provide a criminal record certificate if spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18.</li><li>To be registered with the SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Full paid training – no experience required.</li><li>No uniform – casual clothing is accepted.</li><li>Fund up to £500 towards driving lessons.</li><li>Reimbursement for yearly SSSC registration fees.</li><li>Access to funded qualifications through our SQA approved, award‑winning Training Academy.</li><li>Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.</li><li>Recommend a colleague bonus scheme.</li><li>26 days annual leave (increasing by 5 days after 5 years) plus 4 paid bank holidays.</li><li>Family‑friendly leave options, including family, parental, bereavement and special leave.</li><li>Access to discounts such as cinema, gym memberships, holidays and shopping.</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunities</h3><p>Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.</p></div>
