Job Description
As a Customer Service Assistant, your responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance. You will play a key role in daily store operations and help create a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
You will actively seek ways to improve service quality through on-the-job feedback and coaching, ensuring the store remains a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural, friendly service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via surveys.
* Assisting across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Applying training to ensure safety and compliance.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in achieving profit goals.
* Living our values by being yourself, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Adhering to the 'Think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Completing all relevant training to ensure safety and legality.
If the store has a Post Office Local, responsibilities include managing daily operations and passing necessary background checks. Failure to pass these checks will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
