HGV Diagnostic Technician (Level 3 Qualified)

Salary: Up to £45,000 Basic + Realistic OTE £64,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Diagnostic Technician to join a busy and professional commercial vehicle workshop in Reading. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic capabilities who enjoys fault finding, repairs, and working across multiple vehicle manufacturers.

The Role
* Carrying out advanced diagnostics and fault finding
* Completing repairs identified through diagnostic inspections
* Servicing, maintenance, and general repairs on HGVs
* Working across a range of commercial vehicle manufacturers
* Ensuring all repairs are completed to manufacturer standards
* Maintaining accurate workshop records and documentation
* Supporting workshop productivity and customer satisfaction
Requirements
* Level 3 Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred)
* HGV Diagnostic Accreditation or equivalent experience
* Proven experience diagnosing and repairing HGVs
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Organised and able to work to deadlines
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements
Desirable
* LGV/HGV/PSV Licence
* IRTEC Accreditation
* Manufacturer Diagnostic Accreditation
* Roadside Assistance qualifications
* Bus and coach experience
* Time-served technicians with significant experience will also be considered
