Role Summary – Civil Engineer (East Midlands Region, Leicestershire)
As a Civil Engineer, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end engineering packages for residential developments. This includes road and sewer design, foundation design coordination, and managing Section 38, 104, and 278 approvals. The role sits at the heart of project delivery — from design coordination through to technical approvals and bond releases.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver civil engineering designs and documentation for new housing schemes.
Liaise with adopting authorities, consultants, and internal departments to secure technical approvals.
Coordinate foundation, drainage, and level designs to meet both regulatory and design standards.
Manage Section 38 (highways), Section 104 (sewers), and Section 278 (off-site works) agreements.
Contribute to the discharge of planning and engineering-related conditions.
Support project teams to maintain technical standards and ensure timely delivery.
🎓 Essential Skills & Experience
HNC (or higher) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Previous experience with a house builder or civil consultancy.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Site3D, and MicroDrainage (InfoDrainage).
Strong understanding of Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations (Part H), and Highway Design Standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, working across disciplines.
