Summary:
We are looking for an Accommodation Officer to join our dynamic team, focusing on managing bookings for temporary accommodation and overseeing Temporary, Transitional, and Settled accommodations provided by the Council to address homelessness in Newport. This role requires 3-4 days in the office and on-site inspections, with 1 day of remote work. We seek a motivated individual with housing services experience and a commitment to making a positive impact. Responsibilities:
* Manage rent accounts to minimize debts.
* Safeguard tenants and identify their support needs.
* Oversee client placements and movements to optimize accommodation suitability.
* Provide office duty support, including completing license agreements, occupational contracts, and housing benefit forms.
* Travel throughout Newport, requiring personal transportation.
