Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for individuals to work closely with the wider Education Teams and the divisions, to use their knowledge, skills and expertise to contribute to the practice learning environment by providing point of care support, education, training and guidance for pre-registration healthcare professional learners, newly registered staff during preceptorship, and those clinical staff acting as a supervisor or assessor.

You should be passionate about practice education and a confident communicator with well-developed inter-personal skills and an ability to work within the multi-professional team.

* Maximise the number of learners who can be supported within clinical placement learning environments.
* Enhance and develop the learners' experience of the practice learning environment in conjunction with the rest of the multidisciplinary CPL team.
* Support and develop the number of practice assessors and practice supervisors within the practice learning environment to meet the learners' educational and learning needs.
* Support practice learning areas to meet and maintain professional body standards for support and assessment of practice learning.
* Provide leadership through supporting, enabling, and empowering the Learning Environment Managers (LEMs), preceptors, supervisors, and assessors in their roles.
* Facilitate inter-professional learning in practice at point of care.
* Support learners and staff to enable learners to meet assessment requirements stated by the NMC and our HEI partners for student progression.

* RESPECT – Valuing and appreciating everyone – listening, learning and acting on their experiences, being open and honest; and recognising that working with others brings benefits.

Please note that from 1 January 2021, to work in the UK all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK/RoI candidates wishing to apply can self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship here Work in the UK - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

It is vital that you provide full and accurate details of your current immigration status on the application form.
