SEN Teaching Assistant
Full Time
Long Term Roles
Glastonbury and Surrounding Areas
If youre someone who enjoys steady routines, clear expectations, and supporting pupils who benefit from calm, consistent guidance, this could be a good fit for you.
At Sprint, we support mainstream schools, specialist settings, and alternative provisions with SEN specific long term placements and permanent vacancies. These roles suit people who can bring patience, awareness, and a grounded presence to pupils who need thoughtful support each day.
What youll be doing
* Supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, or social, emotional and behavioural needs
* Helping students settle into lessons and follow clear routines
* Working one to one or in small groups to build confidence and engagement
* Assisting teachers with adapted activities and simple intervention work
* Helping pupils manage transitions and stay focused throughout the day
* Creating a calm, predictable environment where pupils feel secure
What settings will be looking for
* Recent experience (6+ months within the last 3 years) supporting pupils with SEN in a school or specialist environment
* A calm, patient and consistent approach
* Someone who notices small details and responds thoughtfully
* Confidence working independently and as part of a team
* Reliability and a genuine interest in helping young people feel understood and supported
A Level 3 TA qualification or a related background (such as psychology, youth work, care or health and social care) is helpful but not essential. What matters most is how you work with pupils.
What you can expect
The opportunities we offer are generally full time and long term, often with the potential for the right person to stay on at the school in a permanent role.
If youre looking for consistent, meaningful work where you can make a steady difference each day, wed love to hear from you.
