Pest Officer – Facilities & Environment (Temporary) Location: 90 Dargan Crescent, Belfast, BT3 9JP Hours: 37 hours per week Pay Rate PAY: £15.82 per hour About the Role We are recruiting a Pest Officer to join Belfast City Council’s City Services – Neighbourhood Portfolio. You’ll be responsible for delivering a full range of pest control services in a safe, effective and professional manner. Key duties include: Treatment and control of rodents, insects and other pests Disinfection and disinfestation of land, buildings and belongings Sewer and drain testing and treatments ️ Relief duties including ship inspections at the port Maintaining accurate records and reports Liaising with NIHE, housing associations, NI Water and other agencies Working in line with health & safety, safeguarding and council policies ✅ Essential Requirements Full, current driving licence (or access to suitable transport) Minimum 1 year’s experience in pest control operations Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures Excellent customer care and communication skills Qualification: BPCA / RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management (or willingness to obtain within 6 months) ⭐ Skills & Attributes Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team ️ Good workload planning and organisation Confident using IT systems and record-keeping tools Problem-solving skills, including lone working situations Interested?
