IT Analyst - Project Support - Fareham

We currently employ over 600 people across eight sites in the UK, with specialisations including software engineering, underwater robotics, radars, AI, and armed forces training.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our UK IT team as an IT Analyst & PMO. This dual role combines technical expertise with project management skills to ensure smooth IT operations and successful delivery of IT projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, a passion for problem-solving, and excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* IT Administration: Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security systems. Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures. Ensure data backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested regularly.
* Project Support: Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring IT projects. Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports. Track project progress and identify risks. Coordinate with stakeholders to meet project deliverables on time and within budget. Apply project management methodologies and contribute to process improvements.
Skills and Experience
* Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
* 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role.
* Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
* Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Understanding of mobile technology and OS (Android, iOS, Windows).
Desirable: Experience with specific operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), IT applications (Microsoft Office, email clients), and knowledge of ITIL framework.
