Salary: £53,931 - £64,710

Location: 22 Devonshire Place, London

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday

Are you a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care looking for your next step in a supportive and well-established team? This is an opportunity to take on a role where your clinical expertise, compassion and leadership will make a direct impact on patients and their families.

We are recruiting a Palliative Care and Symptom Control CNS to join our Specialist Palliative and Symptom Control Team. You will be based within the Duchess of Devonshire Wing, part of The London Clinic's cancer centre, delivering high quality, patient centred care within a modern and well supported environment.

The Duchess of Devonshire Wing is our purpose-built cancer centre, providing modern radiotherapy services, dedicated chemotherapy suites, and 47 oncology and haematology inpatient beds, ensuring patients receive high quality, coordinated and personalised care throughout their treatment journey

The role

As a CNS in our specialist palliative care team, you will work closely with our Palliative Medicine Consultant and a fellow CNS to deliver expert, gold-standard care to patients with both malignant and non-malignant conditions. You will support patients and their families through complex care needs, drawing on your clinical expertise and emotional insight to ensure high-quality, person-centred support.

Key Duties

* Conduct in-depth assessments addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs
* Develop and monitor individualised care plans in partnership with patients and families
* Offer clinical advice and emotional support to colleagues and carers
* Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure continuity of care
* Support service development and contribute to staff training

Skills and Experience

* Registered Nurse Adult with significant experience in palliative care and oncology
* Experience working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within a palliative setting
* Postgraduate qualification in palliative care or working towards
* Confident managing complex caseloads with a high level of autonomy
* Strong communication, leadership and clinical decision-making skills
* Compassionate, professional and patient focused approach
