Join our dynamic team as a Store Operative at our busy Depot in Haydock. This role is crucial to supporting our fieldengineering teams who are carrying out the installation of vital ducting andcabling for telecommunications across the East Midlands.
You will be the backbone of our operations,primarily responsible for maintaining material stocks and equipment forall field and network engineering activities. You will manage the entirelifecycle of our inventory, from drawing down materials and placing call-offorders to ensuring stock levels are always available and accurate for scheduledworks.
KeyResponsibilities and Duties
Stock &Inventory Management
* Conduct a full monthly stock audit and ensure stock accuracyis maintained at all times.
* Ensure all movements of stock are transacted electronically inreal time.
* Control the audit of all incoming material from suppliers.
* Prepare material for point of use in accordance with writteninstructions.
* Manage and report on material shortages.
* Enforce Comex2000 procedures for stock and asset control.
Warehouse& Depot Operations
* Assist loading and unloading civils and cable gang vehicles.
* Enforce good housekeeping disciplines to maintain excellentyard management and organisation.
* Ensure site security is maintained throughout the day to ensurestock integrity.
* Organise and control the issue of plant line equipment.
* Observe and maintain safe working systems within the workcells, reporting any Health and Safety issues.
Logistics& Administration
* Prepare shipments for dispatch and organise all relevant paperwork.
* Liaise effectively with couriers and third parties.
* Follow the delivery schedule to ensure all customer deliveries aremet right first time and in full.
* Liaise with Planning and Purchasing to resolve any plan-relatedissues.
* Communicate with the Operations Manager regarding any staffbehaviour issues in the yard or warehouse.
Requirements
EssentialSkills & Qualifications
* A Methodical and thorough approach to work with a provenability to multi-task whilst maintaining high standards of compliance.
* Full Clean Driving License .
* Telehandler Licence (Essential for site operations).
* Computer literate, withproficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly andlisten effectively.
* A willingness to work flexible hours to accommodateoperational requirements.
