This role is to join a highly regarded data centre company, upon joining you will be part of a diverse team of design specialists all supporting one another in their specialist capacities.

Responsibilities
* As an integral member of the consultancy, you will support the team in developing designs for mechanical systems for data centre projects globally.
* The role will include supporting meetings with the client, contractors, and other designers. Site visits will also be required to monitor whether the construction is in accordance with the design and to resolve site queries
* Leading the spatial and technical co-ordination of the building services and their integration into the building design.
* Attending meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs.
* Supporting senior management in business and technical development.
* Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team and assist with their professional development.
* Supervising and coordinating the work of others and coordinating work with engineers of other disciplines to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget.
* Communicating and liaising with clients and managing client meetings as required.
* Produce detailed and performance specification for the discipline subject to review by colleagues prior to issue.
* Produce detailed equipment and carry out detailed calculations.
* System modelling
Qualifications
* MEng / BEng Mechanical Engineering or Building Services, with chartered status or working towards chartership.
* A proven track record of developing and leading mechanical teams to support the delivery of complex projects in data centre design
* Able to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of your discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role.
* Be able to work closely with other team members in the development of the facilities in alignment with client expectations.
* Manage multiple projects in a clear concise and co-ordinated manor.
* Have a strong desire for career progression allied to improving skills and professional development
