Responsibilities
* Commercially focused quantity surveying (QS)
* Familiar with Think Project (CEMAR)
* Main contractor management experience
* Understand Public Procurement Regulations
* Support programme development and early budgetary estimates
* Develop effective relationships with portfolio team members and stakeholders to support team objectives and adoption of functional QS practices
* Provide quantity surveying expertise and support to the wider programme delivery businesses
* Review contract adherence across programme delivery and perform contract compliance audits
* Support the commercial function in evaluating and negotiating tenders, contract changes and compensation events
* Support development of preliminary, initial and main gate business case submissions
* Provide senior management with reports to support decision making
* Act as contract-specific QS expert in price validation, agreement and dispute resolution
Qualifications
* RICS membership or equivalent with substantial experience using NEC form of contract
* NEC 4 Accredited
* 10 years post-qualification experience
* Degree level — ideally with Masters; Chartered status
* Be able to obtain SC Clearance
* Digital savvy; able to build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams
* Construction or project management background and a drive to grow within Mace
