Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior CNC Programmer Setter Operator at Avenium Engineering in Middlesbrough. The role involves tasks such as liaising with Clients to interpret technical drawings and understand the work scope, assisting with machining time and material estimating, programming CNC machines, operating CNC machines, and ensuring the efficient operation of CNC machines and production processes.
What you will do day to day
* Liaise internally within the business to schedule planning of the inspection, programming, and operation of the various machines.
* Supervise and/or partake in the daily inspection of the machines and equipment in preparation for use.
* Operate CNC machines to machine parts to a high standard and in conformance with the engineering specifications/tolerances.
* Inspect machined parts using standard metrology equipment (e.g., verniers, micrometres), and/or a CMM machine.
Experience
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Programming CNC Milling and Lathe machines using Siemens Controls.
* Setting CNC Milling and Lathe machines.
* Operating CNC Milling and Lathe machines.
* Knowledge of various machining techniques and tooling.
* Experience with Siemens CNC controls and software.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Relevant certification or vocational training in CNC programming and machining.
