Job Title: English & Maths Tutor – London
Pay Rate: £25 – £35 per hour
Location: London (travel within local areas may be required)
About the Role:
We’re looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutor to provide one-to-one support in English and Maths for students across London. This part-time role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping learners reach their full potential through personalised teaching.
What You’ll Do:
* Provide tailored one-on-one tutoring in English and Maths
* Plan and deliver lessons that match each student’s unique learning needs
* Track academic progress and adapt your teaching style where necessary
* Help build students’ confidence and support them in achieving their goals
* Maintain clear and professional communication with students and their families
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong academic background in English and Maths (minimum A-level or equivalent)
* At least 2 years’ experience in tutoring or teaching
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A deep understanding of the UK school curriculum
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
* Great time management and organisation
Bonus Points For:
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE)
Working Hours & Flexibility:
* Part-time with flexible scheduling
* London-based – may involve visiting students at home or working from tutoring centres
* Work closely with students and families in a supportive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
