The Role We’re seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join my client’s Design team, to develop equipment concepts and schemes that create competitive advantage and can be constructed and commissioned safely and effectively. Produce general arrangements, detail drawings and material schedules which are clear, accurate, cost effective, and meet the requirements of the specification Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of design proposals and tender documents Report problems and deficiencies in the design brief, and develop pragmatic cost-effective solutions Suggest solutions to problems based on an understanding of the relevant technologies Produce technical information, drawings and associated schedules and documents, taking due account of health & safety requirements, designs, specifications and standards relating to the contract Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of the contract Ensure that such design solutions compliment and support the manufacture and assembly processes and assist in driving best practice throughout the business Pro...
