Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA), is currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor to join their team in Hull. The organisation provides engineering apprenticeships and adult skills training to numerous companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training in mechanical engineering.
* Conduct training sessions in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
* Instruct on the operation of lathe and milling machines.
* Teach the safe use of hand tools.
* Provide training in hydraulics or pneumatics.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety practices and procedures.
* Utilise chemical process industry knowledge and/or CAD if applicable.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.
Job Requirements
* Experience in mechanical engineering.
* Knowledge of mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
* Experience operating lathe and milling machines.
* Familiarity with hydraulics or pneumatics.
* Proficiency in health & safety practices and procedures.
* Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification.
* Good interpersonal and computer skills.
* Full driving licence.
* Knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD (desirable).
