Hotel Manager - Edinburgh
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + Bonus
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking an inspiring Hotel Manager to lead operations within a busy Edinburgh city centre aparthotel
This is a key position for a supportive, people-focused leader who can bring stability, structure and development to the team. The ideal candidate will balance compassionate leadership with clear expectations, operational excellence and strong commercial awareness.
The Role
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction while developing a motivated, high-performing team. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will help shape a positive culture built on growth, accountability and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Lead and manage day-to-day operations
Coach, mentor and motivate team members, supporting performance and development
Set clear goals, KPIs and expectations
Conduct appraisals, manage HR processes and recognise great performance
Foster teamwork, communication and a positive culture
Guest Experience
Maintain excellent guest satisfaction and brand consistency
Build strong relationships with guests, community contacts and stakeholders
Ensure service standards, cleanliness and presentation exceed expectations
Responsible Business
Ensure health, safety and security standards within the hotel
Strengthen community relationships and promote sustainability
Financial & Commercial
Support financial and operational planning to optimise profitability
Monitor performance, implement improvement actions and control costs
What We're Looking For
Previous hotel management experience, with good rooms knowledge
A naturally nurturing, supportive and people-driven leadership style
Strong communication, influencing and motivation skills
High commercial awareness with the ability to balance people and profit
A proactive, detail-focused and resilient approach
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
