We have an immediate opportunity to join our People Business Partnering team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. Our People Business Partners play a crucial role in supporting both the business and its people. Their primary focus is on assisting line managers and front-line colleagues by providing guidance and resources to succeed. They lead business area-specific HR initiatives, such as maintaining organizational charts, overseeing workforce planning, and executing change programs. Our People Business Partners serve as trusted advisors, helping to implement plans and activate talent initiatives tailored to their business areas.
You will work hands-on to drive key people initiatives supporting the strategic people plan, collaborating closely with colleagues from our 4 Pillars: Transformation, Culture, Professional Learning & OD, and People and Policy Relations. The key areas of focus include:
1. Org Effectiveness & Change Management
2. Talent & Workforce Planning
3. Performance Management, Development & Rewards
4. Employee Engagement
5. Capability Management and building strong relationships with managers and teams
6. Listening and problem-solving with colleagues and leaders
7. Supporting the delivery of the Global People Strategy
8. Supporting ad-hoc People Team projects with a solution-focused approach
9. Bringing a commercial and customer focus to all initiatives
The successful candidate should be able to work within our balanced working model, residing within a commutable distance to our Milton Park, Oxfordshire office, and be willing to work on-site 3 days per week.
Required experience includes:
* Proven HR Business Partnering experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, ideally in a global environment
* Strong talent planning and reorganization experience
* Commitment to driving commercial and customer-focused HR initiatives
* Project management skills and experience with relevant tools
* Data analysis and storytelling skills
* Knowledge of employment legislation
* Experience working with Trade Unions (UK) is advantageous
* Ability to influence stakeholders cross-functionally
* Effective listening and coaching skills with an empathetic and inclusive mindset
* Willingness to handle both strategic and day-to-day tasks
* Comfort working with ambiguity
* HRBP background plus experience in a Centre of Excellence (e.g., TA, L&D, ER, DEI)
