Location: Stevenage
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum plus overtime
Benefits: 25 Days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays
Job Purpose
To perform all planned and unplanned mechanical engineering maintenance activities relating to the running of an efficient contract and supporting client sites.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Support the Line Manager in the implementation of EMCOR policies, procedures, and standards to maintain operational integrity and provide high-quality service.
2. Ensure all Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance is completed on schedule with proper documentation.
3. Perform defect rectification, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
4. Carry out routine maintenance on mechanical systems.
5. Supervise specialist contractors and ensure all certifications are completed.
6. Liaise with the Helpdesk to respond to urgent maintenance tasks promptly.
7. Maintain good housekeeping and professional representation of EMCOR.
8. Perform call-out duties as required.
9. Follow any additional instructions from your line manager.
Person Specification
* ONC/OND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant discipline.
* Proven experience in a building services environment.
* Knowledge of PSSR 2000, Confined Space, Legionella, and Permit to Work systems.
* Articulate, numerate, and IT literate.
* Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law is preferred.
* Good knowledge of Facility Management and Building Service Engineering.
* Strong decision-making, communication, and safety assurance skills.
* Resilient under pressure and confident in communication.
