At Ark, all Support Practitioners are paid at least the Real Living Wage, currently £13.45 per hour (£27,350.04 pro rata).
After successfully completing your probation period, your hourly rate increases to £13.75 (£27,960.08 pro rata).

We are looking for individuals who have a passion to support young people through their transition into adulthood. This could include college support, being in their first tenancy, enhancing life skills and supporting group activities. You will provide social, emotional and practical support to meet young people’s agreed outcomes.

We offer a good level of flexibility around shift patterns with varying hours. Driving is not essential. Students are welcome to apply, with flexibility around university/college placements. Please note this role includes regular paid sleepover shifts. Sleepover shifts are a requirement in the service.
Sleepover shift consists of working during the day, a rest period sleeping over in the service and then working again the next day. The sleepover period is over and above your contracted hours and gets paid as an additional payment of £100.80 per sleepover.

Previous experience of the following is an advantage but not essential as Ark will provide full training: Care Worker, Social Worker, Home Carer, Case Worker, Care Assistant, Autism Support Worker, Personal Care Assistant, Social Care Worker.
