Position: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Wigan Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: September 2025 & immediate starts available Salary: Up to £100 per day (depending on experience) The Role: This is a rewarding opportunity for graduates to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in mainstream or specialist settings. You'll work closely with SENCOs and teaching staff to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning difficulties) Assist with behaviour management, emotional regulation, and social development Adapt learning materials and approaches to suit individual needs Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff Contribute to EHCP reviews, pastoral care, and classroom routines Ideal Candidate: A graduate with a background or interest in psychology, education, social care, or SEN Patient, empathetic, and resilient Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence Some experience working with children or young people is desirable (e.g., care work, volunteering, tutoring) Why Apply?
