Electrician (Maintenance) Full Time | 37.5 hours per week | MondayFriday Salary: £38,000 per annum (depending on experience) We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our clients in-house Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys a varied role working across a diverse estate of buildings, including both modern and older electrical installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical maintenance, installation, testing and inspection works, ensuring all systems remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently. You will also play an important role in mentoring and supporting an electrical apprentice currently completing their third year of a four-year apprenticeship. You will be part of a small, collaborative maintenance team and may occasionally assist with other general maintenance tasks alongside colleagues from other trades. Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical maintenance, installation and repair works Undertake inspection and testing including EICRs, minor works certification and fixed wire testing Identify and resolve electrical faults and compliance issues Ensure all work complies with current wiring regulations (18th Edition Amendment 2) Maintain accurate records of work completed Support and mentor the electrical apprentice Work closely with the wider maintenance team and assist other trades when required Follow all health and safety procedures and use appropriate PPE Essential Requirements City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) Qualified and working to current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Electrical Inspection and Testing qualification (e.g. C&G 2391 or equivalent) Experience working within building maintenance or construction Good problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic IT skills (email, recording completed work, maintenance systems) Full clean driving licence Physically able to work at heights and move equipment where required Desirable MEWP training Tower scaffold training Experience working within estates or facilities maintenance environments Working Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required by prior arrangement and will be paid or taken as time off in lieu. Following successful completion of probation, participation in a call-out rota will be required.
