Following the vacation of an existing post, a new opportunity is available within the Goole and District Hospital Maintenance team. A maintenance career within the NHS has so much to offer. The working environment is diverse and equipment can be highly specialised to healthcare. Work here can vary from hospital corridors to plant rooms serving operating theatres, mechanical plants, medical gas systems, emergency standby generators and ward areas.
An Estates Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in the Estates Engineering Maintenance Services. The post holder will work a three‑shift pattern and will support the Team Leader and Estates Officers alongside the Maintenance team in the delivery of maintenance programmes that contribute to the Trusts objectives, carried out in a safe, cost‑effective and compliant manner with legislation, HTMs and good practice. The post holder will undertake works relating to the maintenance and repairs of Trust properties, equipment, grounds and gardens, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, HTMs, Trust policies and procedures to provide a clean, safe and functional environment for patients, the public and staff to support the delivery of patient care.
