The Sixth Form College Farnborough is a founding member of The Prospect Trust, with Tomlinscote School joining in September 2018. The Trust is a dynamic and ambitious multi-academy Trust on the Hampshire/Surrey border, providing outstanding education and support for almost 6,000 learners through its family of local academies. The Trust has a relentless desire to improve the educational outcomes and lives of the young people in our local communities. The successful candidate will be expected to embrace the Trust's values and play a key role in supporting its students. Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver a high quality, interesting science curriculum for 11-16 year olds that challenges and inspires all students.
* Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with enthusiasm for working with secondary students.
* Demonstrate a thoughtful, self-reflective approach to pedagogy and a passion for the subject.
* Utilise ICT effectively to make learning visible in the classroom.
* Contribute to a positive departmental environment and support colleagues as part of the school community.
* Undertake a pastoral role as a form tutor and participate in wider school activities, trips and extracurriculars where applicable.
* Commit to ongoing professional development and personal growth as part of our school’s culture of excellence.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A relevant undergraduate degree.
* A passion for the subject and a desire to develop further through professional growth.
