You will be responsible for the strategic delivery of nursing and midwifery workforce plans and initiatives across the trust, to facilitate and monitor safe, effective deployment of the nursing and midwifery workforce to ensure we have the right staff with the right skills in the right place at the right time.

Main duties of the job
As a member of the corporate nursing team, you will be expected to demonstrate strong professional clinical leadership and provide specialist and strategic education and clinical advice across the Trust. Acting in support of the Deputy Chief Nurse, you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team across the Trust. You will support the Deputy Chief Nurse to continually improve our Safer staffing processes and policies, patient care, experience and assist with the implementation of Trust and National Initiatives.

* Registered Nurse
* First Degree or demonstrable equivalent qualification or experience
Desirable
* Masters/ MBA (or working towards) or equivalent Qualification or experience.
* Diploma in Management Studies or equivalent experience
* NHSE Safe Staffing Fellow
Previous Experience
Essential
* Demonstrable relevant experience as a senior nurse/manager within an acute healthcare setting
* Demonstrable experience of change management/service redesign
* Experience of using workforce metrics, including acuity and dependency monitoring
* Experience of implementing change management/service redesign
* Experienced in use of Allocate Health Roster system
* Experience of Allocate SafeCare
Desirable
* Evidence of delivering nursing performance including safer staffing and reviewing establishments
