Occupational Hygienist
Location: Midlands
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE
A leading environmental and occupational health consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Hygienist to join its expanding team in the Midlands. The Role
As an Occupational Hygienist, you’ll work on a varied portfolio of projects across multiple industries – assessing workplace environments, monitoring exposure levels, and helping organisations protect employee health and meet compliance standards.
You’ll take responsibility for conducting surveys, analysing results, and providing clear, evidence-based recommendations to clients, ensuring workplaces remain safe, compliant, and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out occupational hygiene surveys across a diverse range of sectors.
2. Undertake dust, fume, noise, and vibration exposure monitoring.
3. Prepare detailed risk assessments and high-quality technical reports.
4. Provide practical advice to clients on control measures and regulatory compliance.
5. Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to business development and client care.
About You
6. 1-2 years’ experience in occupational hygiene or workplace exposure monitoring.
7. Working towards or completion of BOHS modules (W501-W507).
8. Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene, or a related discipline.
9. Excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills.
10. Strong client-facing abilities and a proactive approach.
11. Full UK driving licence required.
