Overview
Systems Design Engineer for the Synthetic Environment team. The role supports MBDA’s complex weapon programmes by developing and integrating next‑generation RF missile seekers. The engineer will work closely with multiple Systems Engineering teams, Modelling & Performance, Software Development and CAD Modelling groups to provide high‑fidelity models and real‑world data for product design, development and acceptance processes.
Work Pattern
Hybrid: Full‑time on site with ad‑hoc working from home, and flexible working hours.
Security Clearance
British Citizen, SC clearance required.
Responsibilities
* Requirements Analysis
* Developing system architecture, including interface definitions
* Conducting system trade studies
* Researching RF representation methods
* Presenting study outcomes to team members and external stakeholders
* Generating technical requirement specifications
* Identifying opportunities for process improvement
* Potential involvement in verification and validation work
Essential Experience
* Background in Maths, Physics or Engineering
* Experience in Systems Engineering/Design and MBSE
* Strong problem‑solving skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Detail oriented
Desirable Experience
* Matlab, DOORS Next and/or Rhapsody experience
* Knowledge of physics and technologies involved in RF systems
