Cost Engineer – Energy and Natural Resources

Job Description
As a Cost Engineer, you will provide services as required by our clients, which may include:
* Supporting the Cost Lead with the implementation of appropriate cost systems, procedures and working templates.
* Supporting project teams to ensure timely and accurate cost information submission on a regular basis, including reporting on EAC, ETC, ACWP and comparison to the baseline.
* Monitoring project expenditures and ensuring they align with the budget.
* Preparing detailed financial reports and presenting them to stakeholders.
* Supporting the Cost Lead in executing cost re-baseline exercises, forecast and budget update as appropriate.
* Undertaking analyses of project cost information to support programme objectives, including earned value and trend analysis.
* Working closely with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
You have professional Project Controls experience specialising in Senior Cost Engineering in one or more sectors across multiple stages of the project lifecycle. You can coordinate and work with other teams and have basic multi-disciplinary knowledge. You have knowledge and proficiency with cost engineering and forecasting tools such as PRISM, EcoSys or Cobra.
* Have a degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent qualifications and experience.
* Are a member of a relevant professional body e.g., Association for Project Management or Project Management Institute.
* Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
* Ability to communicate cost and performance information to peers and managers.
