About the Role
As an MET Technician, you will play a key role in restoring accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards. Working within a modern, well-equipped bodyshop, you'll use the latest tools, technology, and repair methods to ensure every vehicle leaves the workshop in exceptional condition.
Key Responsibilities
Dismantle and reassemble vehicles safely and efficiently Carry out mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs in line with manufacturer specifications Diagnose faults and complete repairs to the highest standards Collaborate with panel technicians, paint technicians, and workshop teams to ensure efficient workflow Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment Ensure repairs meet quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction standards About You
To be successful in this MET Technician role, you will have:
Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip and Fit Technician, or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and trim systems Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills ATA accreditation (desirable but not essential) A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship A positive, professional attitude and strong team-working skills Why Join Steer Automotive Group?
