What you will do:
* Manage a complex caseload of children under Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17).
* Undertake and oversee advanced statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning.
* Provide practice leadership, mentoring, and support to social workers.
* Lead and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.
* Prepare high-quality court reports, including involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO) and care proceedings.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
* Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Post-qualifying training (desirable)
Registration & Compliance:
* Registered with Social Work England
* Knowledge of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Public Law Outline (PLO)
* Enhanced DBS clearance
