The role - Part-time Legal Secretary
Location - Aberdeen City Centre
Pay rate - 16.00 per hour
Hours - 20 hours per week (flexible working pattern)
Office Angels are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established Scottish law firm based in Aberdeen City Centre. The role offers flexible working hours, with options such as 3 full days, 5 mornings/afternoons, or accommodating school hours. The client is open to discussing a working pattern that suits the candidate.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Conveyancing or Private Client work; however, applications from those experienced in other legal sectors are also considered.
A key task in this role is Audio Typing. Candidates must have prior audio typing experience.
Responsibilities include providing secretarial support, managing conveyancing documentation and proceedings, and prioritizing workload effectively.
Typical daily tasks include:
* Preparing and registering Dispositions
* Preparing Discharges & LBTT documentation
* Ordering redemption statements
* Handling post-completion follow-up documentation
* Audio & Copy typing
* Lodging Advance Notices
* Updating clients on case progress
* Liaising with other parties to meet deadlines
Candidate requirements:
* Previous experience and knowledge of conveyancing within the Scottish legal system
* Knowledge of LBTT
* Copy/audio and dictation experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
