Our Sustainability team helps clients measure, manage, and reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, achieving wider sustainability goals. Our services include:
* City/regional carbon reduction programs
* Development of carbon management and Net Zero strategies
* Carbon footprint and ESG disclosures
* Energy saving opportunities and investment support
* Green building certification assurance
* Decarbonisation and heat decarbonisation plans
* Net Zero program management
We are seeking individuals with experience in building certification and/or real estate decarbonisation to support our growing Cities & Workplaces team.
Job Description
We are looking for candidates experienced in Heat Network (HN) and wider Distributed Energy (DE) projects, including low to zero carbon heat and power networks, systems, and resources such as solar PV, heat pumps, energy storage, demand flexibility, and smart/grid integration.
Experience in project development—scoping, business case, finance, and high-level technical aspects (as a consultant)—for schemes involving heat networks, local energy networks, smart grids, and EV integration is desired.
Qualifications
We seek experienced professionals with competencies including:
* High-quality service delivery and client management
* Consultancy experience in DE and HN projects
* Proven track record in facilitating and delivering DE schemes
* Knowledge of multiple DE technologies
* Excellent customer relationship skills
* Understanding of metering, billing regulations, and government policies on HN
* Programme management and organizational skills
* Knowledge of building energy demands and relevant regulations such as CP1 and Part L
Preferred skills include business development, stakeholder engagement, energy strategy development, and data analysis.
