Outdoor Learning CoordinatorLocation: School site and off-siteContract: Full-timeSalary: £22,000-£25,000 (depending on experience)Reports to: Senior Leadership TeamStart date: February 2026Role OverviewWe are seeking an Outdoor Learning Coordinator to plan and lead safe, engaging outdoor learning opportunities for students aged 11-19 with Autism, ADHD and related needs. The role focuses on woodland learning, outdoor activities and coordinating off-site alternative provision to support wellbeing, personal development and curriculum access.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate outdoor learning activities, including woodland days and off-site provisionWork with external providers, staff and families to ensure activities meet individual student needsAdapt activities to support sensory, communication and emotional regulation needsEnsure safeguarding, health & safety and risk assessments are in placeOrganise transport, equipment, staffing and documentation for trips and activitiesTrack student engagement and wellbeing and report on impactCurriculum & ActivitiesDevelop an outdoor learning programme for KS3-KS5Support life skills, independence, teamwork and confidenceCreate links with subjects such as Science, Geography, PSHE and ArtExplore accreditation opportunities such as ASDAN, AQA Unit Awards or Duke of EdinburghPerson SpecificationEssential:Experience of outdoor learning or off-site activities with students with SENDGood understanding of Autism and ADHDStrong organisation and communication skillsConfidence with risk assessments or willingness to trainDesirable:Forest School or outdoor education qualificationFirst Aid qualificationExperience with accreditation programmesSafeguarding trainingSafeguarding & Working ConditionsEnhanced DBS requiredOutdoor work in all weather conditionsSome early starts or late finishes for tripsPhysical activity and responsibility for equipment and student safetyWhy Work with Term Time Teachers?Competitive daily rates (inclusive of holiday pay).Flexible work that fits your availability.Opportunity to secure long-term placements.Refer-a-Friend Bonus - £125 for Qualified Teachers, £75 for Nursery Staff/Teaching Assistants.Optional pension scheme.
