The Education Training Collective (Etc.) is a group of colleges and training providers, including Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College, Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training Group and Innersummit, delivering high-quality education and skills training across the Tees Valley. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Technician to join our Digital Services team reporting to our Technical Support Lead. The role is to ensure the seamless operation of our technological infrastructure, supporting staff and students in their use of IT resources.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our educational technology ecosystem, and providing an outstanding end user experience in collaboration with the Technical Support Lead.


Responsibilities

* Providing level 1 and 2 technical support and reporting incidents and problems via the Groups Service Desk
* Work with the Technical Support Lead and Computer Systems Analyst to develop the groups ICT environment, ensuring the network and infrastructure meet curriculum and support service needs
* Ensure all customer inquiries and issues are resolved correctly and promptly in line with departmental SLAs
* Provide feedback to wider staff and customers on resolved and in-progress problems and incidents
* Install, configure and maintain classroom, desktop and mobile IT equipment
* Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve IT systems and service issues
* Use technical expertise to maintain the IT environment across the college, including advice and guidance to users
* Apply college e-security and e-policies in an operational setting
* Interface with the service desk system to self-manage calls through to resolution to an agreed service level
* Operate network, server, desktop and peripheral systems as directed to manage systems and users
* Attend team and other college meetings, mandatory training and relevant staff development, and participate in the Appraisal Review Process
* Create/develop relevant support material for the team or end users as required

Schedule

* Typically Monday-Friday – 9am-5pm
