This is an exciting opportunity to join the Health, Safety, Fire and Security team at Great Western Hospital as a Fire Safety Advisor. This role is vital in supporting the safety of all patients, staff and others who use our buildings.
The postholder will conduct fire risk assessments across a range of hospital buildings and healthcare premises, providing comprehensive fire safety advice and training to the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundations Trust so the organisation meets compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Department of Health’s Technical Memoranda Firecode, and all other fire safety guidance, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities
* Provide fire safety advice to all staff and others.
* Produce comprehensive and accurate fire‑related reports.
* Complete fire risk assessments for all departments, including clinical and non‑clinical areas.
* Develop and deliver fire safety training programmes.
* Support staff with their fire evacuation plans and other specialist fire safety documents.
* Assist in the development of the Trust Fire Warden programme.
* Maintain oversight of any fire risks on the Trust Risk Register.
