Permanent, Part Time (18.5 hours per week)

We have a vacancy for an Independent Living Officer, supporting the Occupational Therapist with their role with a lead on medical assessments for rehousing and the adapted rehousing register. You will be providing a service to customers with wide ranging needs, including some with complex needs and facing multiple exclusion. All customers require intensive, personalised support to help them move forward with their lives and to sustain their tenancies with us.

Assessing risk and working effectively with in-house teams and external statutory and voluntary agencies (such as Social Care) for the benefit of customers is key to success in this role.

We are looking for someone whose previous experience of working with vulnerable individuals in a supportive capacity will support decision making around a persons assessed housing need. Passion, self-motivation, persistence & determination are skills required from the successful candidate to engage & support customers with a range of complex needs.

Candidates will have robust IT skills in order to effectively manage the waiting lists as well as utilise Microsoft packages. Previous experience of clear & accurate recording of customer interventions is also required.

A driving licence & access to a vehicle is necessary for this role.
