The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire is seeking a motivated and analytical Performance Officer to support the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in examining organisational performance across the OPCC, Lancashire Constabulary, and partner agencies.
In this role, you will gather, analyse, and present insight that informs strategic decision‑making. You’ll develop performance products, carry out research, and make evidence‑based recommendations that help improve services for the people of Lancashire. You’ll also present findings to diverse audiences, contribute to effective strategies, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a complex workload while meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience interpreting performance or management information is essential.

Purpose Of The Job
* To assist the Police and Crime Commissioner in the examination of the performance of the Office, the Constabulary and Partners in the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan priorities.
* To communicate information obtained or produced in relation to insight and analysis to the Commissioner and the Senior Management Team.
Main Responsibilities
* To provide the Commissioner and the senior management team with relevant understanding of the current and future performance position of the organisation including the threats and risks to strategic objectives.
* Recommend options to mitigate threats or risks identified when appropriate.
* To develop and maintain performance products that enable the organisation to maximise opportunities to improve performance and the delivery of services to the people of Lancashire.
* To ensure insight is gathered, analysed and disseminated in a way that best supports organisational learning in order to assist in improved performance.
* Present the results of analytical work to diverse audiences in appropriate formats.

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass NPPV2 Abb. There is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for this vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
